SOLAR-HYDROGEN HOME

In 2006, the first Solar-Hydrogen Residence in North America was completed in Hopewell, New Jersey at the home of Mike Strizki. The home features an advanced solar-hydrogen system for hydrogen production and storage that is integrated into an existing solar and geothermal system, and provides for all of the home’s energy needs. The system also includes a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle refueling station.

MOHEGAN SUN GOLF CART

Mike Strizki with Renewable Energy International developed a hydrogen fuel cell powered golf cart to serve as a “neighborhood vehicle” for the Mohegan Nation’s new Energy, Environment, Economics and Education Center. This modified GEM vehicle manufactured by Daimler Chrysler runs on compressed hydrogen, creating no emmissions.

ELECTRIC FUEL CELL BOAT

Mike Strizki served as Project Manager for the conversion of the Duffy Herreshoff 30 to a hydrogen fuel cell powered electric boat. The zero-emission boat features an innovative hydrogen on-demand system that creates hydrogen on-board as needed using a simple mixture of salt and water.

HYDROGEN FUEL CELL CARS

The New Jersey Venturer, a fully functional hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, was developed through a partnership of the New Jersey Department of Transportation, technology companies and state educational institutions, led by Mike Strizki. The first vehicle of its kind at the time of completion, the New Jersey Venturer represented a major breakthrough in clean emission vehicles.

The New Jersey Genesis, Inspired by the success of the New Jersey Venturer, Mike Strizki was again at the helm of the creation of the New Jersey Genesis, the next evolution in hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Developed through a partnership of the New Jersey Department of Transportation, technology companies and state educational institutions, and funded in part by a grant from the Department of Energy, the Genesis achieved unprecedented range and performance, breaking the distance record for a zero-emission vehicle by traveling over 400 miles on a single refueling.
